Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs written question – answered on 14th January 2014.
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what progress the Government have made on incorporating Gibraltar into EU aviation legislation.
We continue to press for the inclusion of Gibraltar airport in EU aviation legislation as it comes up for negotiation. Gibraltar airport has been included in all new and revised aviation legislation enacted since the 2006 Cordoba Agreement. We are clear that Gibraltar must continue to be included. We cannot accept a return to the pre-2006 practice of suspending Gibraltar airport from EU aviation measures.
