To ask Her Majesty’s Government how many national insurance numbers were registered to adult overseas nationals entering the United Kingdom from (1) the European Union, (2) and the rest of the world, in the last three years; and what were the reasons for any falls or rises in those numbers.

There is no information available that would provide definitive reasons for any falls or increases in the numbers of National Insurance numbers registered.
