To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what steps his Department has taken to prevent internet hackers from accessing sensitive information held by his Department.

The Ministry of Defence reviews the cyber threats to sensitive information held by the Department regularly. We ensure that such threats are considered fully in the design and use of information systems. Information on the steps we take to secure our systems and to prevent access by unauthorised users is being withheld for the purpose of safeguarding national security.
