To ask the Secretary of State for Health what plans he has to increase the number of childcare settings participating in the Nursery Milk Scheme in the 2013-14 academic year.

The Department currently has no plans to increase the number of child care settings participating in the Nursery Milk Scheme in the 2013-14 academic year. However the Department may take a different view pending the conclusion of the current consultation process. It is possible that the number of children eligible for Nursery Milk may increase as a result of the Department for Education offering funded early education places to two-year-olds from September 2013.
