To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport what proportion of children in schools in England who are outside the pilots of automatic library membership, have library cards.
The specific information requested is not held centrally, however the annual statistics published by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy provides detail on the proportion of the local authority population aged 0-12 who are local authority library members. Copies of CIPFA statistics are available in the House Library.
