To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what additional free-of-tolling routes between Ellington and Girton have been planned for development.

A 5 week public consultation exercise for the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon improvement scheme started on Monday 9 September in order to gain views of the proposed scheme, tolling arrangements and other options considered.

As part of the scheme proposals, heavy traffic would have non-tolled alternatives: either via the A1 and the A428 from St Neots to Cambridge; or via the country A-roads through St Ives. Light vehicles would also be able to use the de-trunked route of the former A14 through Huntington and a short length of Brampton Road.
