To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when he plans to launch the re-run consultation on compensation for those affected by the High Speed 2 scheme; and when he expects a new discretionary scheme to be in place.

The consultation on long-term property compensation for Phase One of HS2 has been launched today. The consultation will run until 4 December 2013 and, following a period of analysis and consideration, the Government expects to put in place any resulting discretionary schemes by summer 2014.
