Decisions on new bilateral programmes will be taken by DFID country offices. Officials in Whitehall will work closely with its country offices, partner governments, donors and the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) movement as part of the decision-making process. Geographical location will be dictated by greatest need and potential impact. New financial commitments will support nutrition specific activities, such as promotion of breastfeeding, complementary feeding, management of severe acute malnutrition, vitamin A supplementation and salt iodisation.
