To ask the Secretary of State for International Development what recent discussions she has had with the Secretary of State for the Home Department about those at risk of female genital mutilation seeking asylum in the UK.
I have had regular discussions with Home Office and other Government Ministers about a range of measures to protect girls from female genital mutilation in the UK and overseas, and to help eradicate this appalling practice.
