Ambassador Ahmet Üzümcü (Director General for the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons) visited the UK on 23 August 2013 for a private engagement at the University of Surrey: No Ministers or officials met with Ambassador Üzümcü during this visit. The UK has regular engagement with Ambassador Üzümcü to discuss issues related to the chemical weapons convention and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. I last met with Ambassador Üzümcü on 9 April 2013 at the Chemical Weapons Convention 3(rd) Review Conference in The Hague.
