I called for Syria to join the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) without delay at the third CWC Review Conference on 9 April 2013. We have not directly raised with our Syrian counterpart, nor made representations to the Syrian Government, pressing them to join the Chemical Weapons Convention since May 2010.
