To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many staff (a) directly employed and (b) indirectly employed through other companies by his Department were employed on zero-hours contracts in each of the last 10 years.

The Ministry of Defence does not employ people on zero hours contracts. The terms of employment for individuals indirectly employed through other companies are a matter between the individual and their parent company.
