To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make it his policy to remove business rates from former public toilets which are no longer in use.

The Government has no plans to remove business rates from former public toilets which are no longer in use. Any new business rates relief would heed to be balanced against the targeted support that is already provided on business rates, such as the temporary doubling of the small business rate relief, and the overriding need to reduce the deficit.
