To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will provide an estimate of the number of inhabitants of the Gaza strip killed by Israeli bombardments of white phosphorus, with a separate estimate of the number of civilians killed.

We have received no reports of the use of white phosphorus by the Israeli Defence Force in Gaza since Operation Cast Lead in 2009. We have not made an estimate of the number of Palestinians killed by the use of white phosphorus in the Gaza strip.
