To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how much compensation her Department and its agencies paid as a result of losing (a) passports and (b) other travel documents in each of the last five years for which records are available.

The Home Office does not record payment data in a format which would allow the question to be answered without incurring disproportionate costs.
