The Department’s child care and early years survey of parents provides national estimates of the amount families pay for holiday child care. The latest survey shows no significant change in this amount between 2010 and 2011. In 2011, the average daily cost of holiday clubs was £18.75. Over the longer-term, child care costs as a whole have increased significantly. “More Affordable Childcare” sets out Government plans to increase the amount of affordable child care.
