To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills pursuant to the answer of 10 July 2013, Official Report, column 342W, on Royal Mail, if he will provide more specific information on the timing of the sale of Royal Mail.

On 10 July, the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Vince Cable, announced the Government's intention to float shares on the London Stock Exchange via an Initial Public Officering (IPO) in this financial year.

The next milestone in taking forward the IPO will be the issuing of an Intention to Float (ITF) announcement in line with normal market practice. No decision has been made on the timing of the ITF.
