To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs pursuant to the answer of 9 July 2013, Official Report, column 122W, on nature conservation: crime,

(1) what organisations or individuals (a) he and (b) Ministers in his Department have met with since 9 July 2013 in respect of funding for the National Wildlife Crime Unit beyond March 2014;

(2) what progress he has made on the funding of the National Wildlife Crime Unit beyond March 2014.

We recognise the importance of making decisions on the funding of the National Wildlife Crime Unit beyond March 2014. Discussions are continuing in the normal course of business. The Secretary of State and Ministers have not met specific individuals or organisations since 9 July.
