To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions if he will make it his policy that Jobcentre Plus records the number of referrals they make to food banks; and if he will make a statement.

Food banks are not part of Government policy and, as such, the Department for Work and Pensions does not hold or collect information on them. The Department has no plans to review the use of food banks.
