To ask the Secretary of State for Defence pursuant to the answer of 15 July 2013, Official Report, column 506W, on USA, what information his Department holds on such casualties.

The Ministry of Defence only holds information on deaths to UK armed forces personnel which occurred while in-service. From 1 January 2003 to 6 September 2013, there were eight confirmed cases where UK armed forces personnel have died as a result of US armed forces air strikes confirmed through the outcome of a coroner's inquest. Five occurred as a result of operations in Afghanistan and three as a result of operations in Iraq.
