To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many firearms and shotgun certificates have been refused in (a) 2013, (b) 2012, (c) 2011 and (d) 2010; and how many have been revoked.
The data requested were published in the recent Home Office statistical release Firearm and Shotgun Certificates in England and Wales 2012-13, available online at:
Data for financial years 2009-10 to 2012-13 are also provided in the table. Data relating to 2013-14 are expected to be published in the autumn of 2014.
