To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what assets and how many personnel will take part in Exercise Steadfast Jazz 2013; and what estimate he has made of the cost to the public purse of this exercise.

While UK contributions to Exercise Steadfast Jazz have not been finalised, and are subject to wider planning considerations, it is likely that the UK will provide two naval vessels. As the exercise has not yet taken place, we are not yet able to confirm the additional costs of our contribution.
