To ask the Secretary of State for Education how many 16 to 18 year olds in Pendle were not in education, employment or training in each of the last five years.

Local authorities collect information on the proportion of 16 to 18-year-olds who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) in each local authority area in England.

The figures for Pendle cannot be disaggregated from those for Lancashire as a whole, which are as follows:(1)

(1) The figures for 2011 and 2012 cannot be compared with those of previous years because from 2011 young people have been recorded by where they live. Prior to that they had been recorded by where they study.
