To ask the Secretary of State for International Development if she will make it her policy that publicly led and financed health systems should be a priority in international discussions on the post-2015 development framework and that the future allocation of funds to the UK aid budget should reflect such a priority.

The importance of strong health systems in improving health outcomes has already been a priority in Post 2015 discussions, as highlighted in the High Level Panel report, which stresses the need for progress towards Universal Health Coverage. The future allocation of funds from the UK Aid budget will continue to be driven by the principles of poverty reduction and value for money.
