To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what assessment he has made of the effect on the revised Israeli-Palestinian dialogue of the growing insurgency in the Sinai peninsula and increased restrictions on the Egyptian border with the Gaza Strip.

We do not assess that these events have had a significant impact on the current Israeli-Palestinian negotiations. However, the turbulence in the broader region only makes the need for progress on the Peace Process even more pressing.
