To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office what advice his Department has given to charities on senior executive salaries.

It is primarily for a charity’s trustees to determine the remuneration of senior executives. I welcome the recent announcement by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations and the Charity Commission for England and Wales that they will work together to develop guidance for charity trustees on setting executive remuneration.
