To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what recent assessment has been made of the effectiveness of the exemption from estate duty of heritage assets as a contribution to public enjoyment of heritage assets.
The estate duty exemption preserves and protects almost 45,000 heritage items which may have otherwise been sold or taken out of the UK.
