To ask the Secretary of State for Education what steps he is taking to reduce the cost of childcare.

The Government published More Affordable Childcare in July, which set out the steps we are taking to reduce the costs of child care.

More Affordable Childcare sets out plans to:

1. help families to meet the costs of child care

2. increase the amount of affordable provision

3. give parents the right information so they can make informed choices about child care
