To ask the Secretary of State for Justice what recent discussions he has had with the chief coroner in relation to changing the burden of proof in cases of suicide from criminal to civil; and if he will make a statement.
With my Department of Health colleague, Norman Lamb, I recently met the chief coroner to discuss the suicide standard of proof. The Government is considering how best to proceed on this issue.
