To ask the Secretary of State for Education if he will take steps to ensure that children with lactose and other allergies are catered for under the free school milk scheme.

The Department of Health operates the Nursery Milk Scheme, which provides free milk to children under the age of five at participating schools and child care settings. There is no equivalent scheme for school pupils over the age of five.
