In the last 5 years there has been one licence application for export of small arms ammunition to Burma. The application was for .22 calibre sporting cartridges and was submitted in May 2011. The application was refused because the export of small arms ammunition would have been a breach of the EU arms embargo. Export licence applications are submitted in confidence and contain commercially sensitive information.
