To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills what the timescale is for funding of the Institute for Science of Cyber Security.

The ‘Science of Cyber Security’ Research Institute is looking to improve understanding of the science behind the growing cyber security threat. The institute is funded by a £3.8 million grant as part of the cross-Government commitment to increasing the UK's academic capability in cyber security. This is administered through Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council research grants which were granted on 1 October 2012 and will run until 31 March 2016.
