To ask the Secretary of State for Justice how many nationals of other EU member states are held in UK prisons (a) in total and (b) by country of origin.

This information is published routinely in the Offender Management Statistics Quarterly bulletin and can be found in Table 1.6 of the prison population tables via the following link:

These figures have been drawn from administrative IT systems which, as with any large scale recording system, are subject to possible errors with data entry and processing.
