The Environmental Cultural and Protective Services block is one of a number of Relative Needs Formulae used in the provision of Revenue Support Grant to local authorities. It is not expressed in terms of an amount of funding. Revenue Support Grant is unhypothecated, local authorities are free to spend it as they choose, and for this reason it is not possible to state how much is distributed for any particular service.
