To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what estimate he has made of the cost to the Exchequer of extending free childcare for all three and four year olds to 17.5 hours a week in 2015-16.

Extending free child care for all three and four-year-olds to 17.5 hours a week in 2015-16 would cost approximately £390 million. This does not include Barnett consequentials.
