The Department has five Ministers, who travel to a range of local, regional and international events from UN meetings and International Olympic committee meetings, to 2014 Commonwealth Games planning sessions in Glasgow and meetings at regional theatres. Mindful of the need to seek economies and efficiencies, the overall budgetary allocation for fulfilling this aspect of departmental business is £126,000, down from £394,000 in 2008-09. Budgets for 2014-15 and 2015-16 have not yet been agreed.
