To ask Her Majesty’s Government what plans there are to improve the track and signalling on the West Coast Main Line to allow the Pendolino trains to travel at a speed of 135 miles per hour.

The Government has invested in significant additional capacity on the West Coast Main Line with the introduction of 106 new Pendolino carriages during 2012.

The Government currently has no plans to improve the track and signalling on the West Coast Main Line to allow Pendolino trains to travel at a speed of 135 miles per hour.
