In February bids were invited from Core Cities and from National Parks for Cycling Ambition Grants, to be used to support a step-change in cycling levels. Bidding closed on the 30 April and an announcement on successful applicants will be made as soon as possible. As set out in the published guidance, the Department for Transport expects the successful promoters to evaluate the impact of their strategies and to promulgate them to other authorities to spread the benefits.
