To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport what the cost to the public purse was of people seconded to local authorities to help with the roll-out of broadband in (a) 2011-12 and (b) 2012-13; and what the cost of such secondments is expected to be in (i) 2013-14, (ii) 2014-15 and (iii) 2015-16.

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
