To ask Her Majesty’s Government what is their assessment of the amount of natural gas which will be obtained from shale gas fracking in the United Kingdom in each of the next ten years.

The Government have not made estimates of shale gas production. More exploration and appraisal is required to establish the proportion of the shale gas resource that is technically and economically recoverable and over what timeframe.
