To ask Her Majesty’s Government how many people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance (1) were offered free English lessons in 2012 and the first six months of 2013, and (2) refused free English lessons in 2012 and the first six months of 2103.

Information on the numbers of people claiming Jobseekers’ Allowance that were (1) offered and (2) refused free English lessons is not available. This is because the recorded data on training for claimants does not distinguish between individual qualifications by subject.
