To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport what proportion of five to 16 year olds take part in at least one planned sport activity per week.

Latest Taking Part survey data, for October 2011 to September 2012, show that 76.0% of five to 10-year-olds did sport outside school and 94.4% of 11 to 15-year-olds did sport in or outside school, in the last week. Data and commentary have been published on the DCMS website:
