To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs how many officials in his Department are engaged in the promotion of measures to reduce noise; and if he will make a statement.

The equivalent of 6.2 full-time officials are currently engaged in the implementation of the Government's policy on environmental, neighbour and neighbourhood noise.
