To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what discussions he has had with the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills on the proposal of the Farmers' Union of Wales that a total ban on the sale of Chinese lanterns be introduced.

I have had no such discussions with the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Vince Cable, on these proposals. I will be meeting the Farmers' Union of Wales at the Royal Welsh Show later this month and will discuss their concerns with them.
