We did not commit to this policy in the Government's response to the Portas review, as we believe that local authorities are best placed to lead on this. We made it clear when responding to the Portas review we want local authorities to compile a public register of high street landlords to help Town Teams. We are also considering further solutions to improve the information that is available.
