To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what proportion of donations and funding to political parties and political campaigns in Northern Ireland comes from (a) the UK and (b) the Republic of Ireland.

The Electoral Commission is under a strict statutory obligation not to disclose information relating to donations or loans to Northern Ireland parties.

Following the passage of the Miscellaneous Provisions Bill, we intend to introduce secondary legislation which would allow this information to be disclosed.
