To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what total mileage of rail track in (a) Scotland, (b) England and (c) Wales is owned and operated by Network Rail.

The total mileage of rail track owned by Network Rail in Scotland, England and Wales is shown in the following table. These figures are for the total amounts of running track owned by Network Rail, which include the running lines on the network, but exclude sidings and depots.
