The Ministry of Justice Court Proceedings Database holds information on defendants proceeded against, found guilty and sentenced for criminal offences in England and Wales. Court proceedings data held centrally for offences under the Protection of Badgers Act 1992 are collated in an aggregated format, which does not allow the identification of specific badger cruelty related offences proceeded against under the Act. It is therefore not possible to separately identify from this centrally held information which findings of guilt under the Protection of Badgers Act 1992 in the last five years related specifically to badger-baiting.
