To ask the Secretary of State for Education if he will make it compulsory for schools to implement a cashless payment system for school lunches.

Schools and local authorities are responsible for their school meals service and how they choose to receive payment for that service. For this reason, I will not make it compulsory for schools to implement a cashless payment system for school lunches.
