To ask Her Majesty's Government, further to the Written Answer by Lord Wallace of Saltaire on 14 February (WA 176), whether the two Lords referred to as a consequence of taking leave of absence as described are now exempt from Section 41 of the Constitutional Reform and Governance Act 2010.

My Written Answer of 14 February 2012 (Hansard, col. WA 176) refers to the voluntary retirement scheme. Members of the House of Lords who take voluntary retirement or leave of absence are not exempt from Section 41 of the Constitutional Reform and Governance Act 2010.
